The JB for Governor campaign is looking to add a diligent, enthusiastic assistant to our digital department to support our content and mobilization programs.

About the Job:

  • Collaborate with team members to develop digital content and engage supporters in online communities
  • Produce and send targeted email blasts and text messages
  • Maintain our campaign inbox across platforms, responding back to supporter's most urgent questions/comments and managing story submissions
  • Communicate in and help organize supporters on online platforms
  • Support the digital team before and during events, including digital training, volunteer training, and other in-person events
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the digital department and the broader campaign goals
  • Some weeknight and weekend work is expected, and hours are likely to increase over the course of the election cycle

About You:

  • You may or may not have previous experience working on a digital team or in the political space
  • You are a motivated self-starter who is ready to learn the requisite skills to run efficient, effective digital campaigns
  • You are able to work quickly and collaboratively in a high-stakes environment
  • You are genuinely excited by the opportunity to bring people together online to help re-elect Governor Pritzker and Lieutenant Governor Stratton
  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and can juggle multiple tasks at the same time

This is a full-time, in-person position reporting to the Deputy Digital Director, Mobilization based in Chicago, IL. Temporary remote work options can be discussed with the expectation that the position will eventually be fully in-person. The salary band for this role is $4,000-$4,500/month with full health care, dental, and vision benefits.
